Billy Moore Artist

I have returned to Kilkenny after 40 years working in advertising in Dublin. From my early years I was very interested in painting and continued to paint when working in advertising. Through work I was most fortunate to meet John Skelton, Irish landscape painter. He greatly influenced me and I am indebted to John for his help and encouragement in those early years. Watercolour and drawing became my favourite mediums and landscapes have remained my subject matter. The inspiration received from internationally known artists: Tony Van Hasselt AWS., Judi Wagner, Milford Zornes NA., Don Andrews AWS., Frank Webb AWS., Frank Francese NWS., Robert Wade AWS., Greg Allen and Alvaro Castagnet AWS continue to motivate me.

Art Exhibition Illustration

During the Killkenny Arts Festival in 2010, Billy Moore held an exhibition entitled "Kilkenny Medieval City", a series of Pen and Ink drawings depicting famous landmarks in and around Kilkenny.
The exhibition was officially opened by Dr. T.K. Whitaker and was so successful that Billy produced a series of signed mounted prints.
These are available at selected outlets in Kilkenny or directly from the artist. The mounted size is 16" x 12" (Image size 12" x 8") and cost €50 including post and packaging.
